Holiday Tree Lighting is a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Holiday Square (Hometown Square) during Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Great America.
Show summary[]
The show starts with The MistleTones (The Tinseltones in 2018) going on stage. The group starts singing "Happy Holiday", then sings "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas", then it progress to "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas", then to "Silver Bells", then it ends.
The group goes on the side and characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tasmanian Devil, Frannie Frosting and Marcus Marshmallow and the elves from Elves Live! come onto the stage and dance to "Jingle Bells" sung by The MistleTones, along with "We're Going on a Sleigh Ride" and ends off with the ending to "Jingle Bells."
After the mashup, they start counting down to light the tree up. Originally in 2019, the park had families flick the switch to light up the tree. Then when they count down to zero, they sing "Christmas Together" immediately.
