The Grand Ole Carousel is a carousel located in Britannia at Six Flags St. Louis. It opened at the park in 1972, though the 68-horse carousel was manufactured by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company in 1915, making it the oldest ride in the park.

History[]

The Grand Ole Carousel was built in 1915 by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company.

In 1972, the carousel was moved from Ohio to Six Flags Over Mid-America, where it was rebuilt by expert craftsmen. It was then located in the Illinois section of the park.[1]
