Apocalypse is a stand-up steel roller coaster in Chesapeake at Six Flags America. It opened on June 7, 2012, and is set to close permanently on September 8, 2018. The ride replaced Skull Mountain.
History
Announcement and Construction
Apocalypse was first teased for Six Flags America when Six Flags Great America announced on August 5, 2011 that Iron Wolf, Apocalypse's previous incarnation, was having its "last stand" on September 5, 2011.
On September 1, 2011, Apocalypse was officially announced for Six Flags America.
